Broken Oak Alberta Rye Whisky - Recipes

Alberta Gold

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Broken Oak Alberta Rye Whisky
  • 0.5 oz Dark Maple Syrup
  • 0.25 oz Amaro (like Averna or Montenegro) (optional, for depth)
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • Ice (large cube preferred)
  • Orange peel (for garnish)
  • Grated nutmeg (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Stir whisky, maple syrup, amaro (if using), and bitters with ice until well chilled.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  3. Express orange peel over the drink and drop it in.
  4. (Optional) Sprinkle a light dusting of grated nutmeg on top for extra warmth.
