
Kakwa Falls is a Northern Alberta landmark revered by many. This makes it the perfect inspiration for our Kakwa Rum, the first true craft rum made in Alberta. Distilled right here in Grande Prairie from blackstrap molasses and aged in bourbon barrels, this golden spirit has been expertly blended for a rich, sweet flavour. Age: 2 years in ex-wine/sugarcane barrel
Mash: Molasses and Golden Sugar
Single barrel release of a blend of single and double distilled rum.

NOSE:
The nose explodes with strong primary aromas of dark chocolate, Belgian waffles, and maple syrup followed by secondary aromas of smoky wood and dark fruit.
PALATE:
Buttery mouthfeel that showcases flavours of chocolate truffle, shaved coconut, rich honey, heavy cream, and a hint of spice.
FINISH:
Bitter chocolate notes persist with a lingering, slightly sweet astringency.
SERVED WITH A FEW DROPS OF WATER
Much more winey nose with a sweet, light clover honey flavour and brighter finish.
